BTC Update: Magnaflow MagnaPak for 5.0 FOX

It's here!  After working with Magnaflow for years, we finally got them to build us a Magnapak system for the early FOX Mustangs.  They had never designed on before but now they have.  We knew we wanted a very aggressive system for our new 2011 5.0 engine and now we have it.  Magnaflow expects to start offering these soon.  This system is a stock configuration for a FOX Mustang, there is nothing 'special' about it to fit our swap.  We plan to worry about what is 'custom' exhaust up towards the headers.

BTC Update: Black 03 Cobra Wheels from American Muscle

Our wheels arrived from American Muscle!  The black17x9 03 Cobra wheels (http://goo.gl/ETN2) with the Sumitomo tires (http://goo.gl/zXAG) look great. #fordracing #stangnet  We can't wait to get them on the car once she comes back from paint, which we hope is soon!  We have a long way to go but we are really excited about assembly time.

BTC Update: Engine Bay love

BTC is at paint and work is underway.  We are giving some 'love' to the strut towers, external firewall and fender aprons.  We want to show off the engine is this project and want all 2 million holes in the FOX engine bay cleaned up to present a very clean look.  We have welded the holes 'closed' and using filler to smooth them out.  The aprons are new trick smooth parts offered direct from Late Model Restoration (http://goo.gl/9FoT).  More updates soon!

BTC Update: Ready for Paint

Project 'Built to Cruise' has been completely disassembled to paint stage. New bumper covers and front fenders are what will change body wise. We removed all the trim and have new to replace. All R&D has been done for motor fitment, more to come on that later. We are excited to be at this phase. While she is at paint, we will begin cleaning and painting interior pieces to black and having the seats reupholstered to black leather. Stay tuned for more updates!

BTC Update: 2011 5.0 Fender Badges

They are here. Thanks to CJ Pony Parts for sourcing the new emblems
offered by Ford. These should make a great addition to our 5.0 swap.
I held them up to the fenders and look like they are going to look
great. They are a bit larger than the older 5.0 style badges, but
look fine on the 89 Fenders. You can grab them here!

We are about a week out before she heads to paint. The car has been
stripped down completely and is pretty much just what modern mustang
shells are called, a 'Body in White'.

BTC Update: Final look of LX Grille Bar Eliminator from CDC

Classic Design Concepts has been busy.  Check out the pics. Installation is going to be a snap.  First you will make the cutout you will make for the new insert.  Then drill 2 holes, apply the new insert, which will have bonding tape on the back side and install with push pins.  I'm wondering if this thing will look killer in a black delete look or a body color?  Expect CDC to have these ready to ship soon!

BTC Update: Custom Front Grille almost ready

Nick @ Classic Design Concepts is applying the final touches to our open grille bumper design for our 'Built to Cruise project'.  CDC expects to have these available for sale for all those that were inquiring if this bumper design was going to be available.  We think it will be a slick look for Fox LX bumpers.  We will keep you posted on availability and what the final 'look' is.

BTC Update: RAM Clutch Setup is Here!

After working with RAM Clutches to see what setup would work on the
new 2011 5.0 engine, the parts that work are here! If you are
planning to run a manual clutch in a swap, then this setup will work
for you. It's basically a 4.6L setup that we are used to seeing in a 99-04
GT/Cobra setup. Part #s are: Flywheel - 1545 Clutch Set - 88951HDX. We
went for a street/race setup to maintain a good daily driver feel to
the gear shifting. http://www.ramclutches.com
